Early this week the Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) issued a new rule banning non-compete provisions across the nation. The ban was to take effect later this year. But the new rule’s opponents wasted no time in asking the courts to put a stop to this new rule.
Yesterday the U.S. Chamber of Commerce filed suit in federal court in Texas, as did a company called Ryan, LLC. Other companies and organizations quickly joined the suits.
